An Early Islamic Inscription By Yahya bin Rabî’a Dated to 13 Shawwal 158/18 August 775  In  The Museum Of Al-Madinah

نقش اسلامي مبكر ليحي ابن ربيعة رحمه الله المؤرّخ بتاريخ  ثلاث عشر شوّال سنة 

١٥٨ هجرية في متحف المدينة المنوّرة

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

اللهم اغغر ليحي ابن ربيعة ذنوبه

العظيم ولوالديه و ارضی عنهم برضاك

و اجرهم من النار بجارك واغفر لهم  و لمن

قرأ ه و قال آمين يوم ثلاث عشر

من شوّال يوم الجمعة سنة

ثمان و خمسين و مئة

Tercüme: 

Rahman Ve Rahîm Olan Allah’ın Adıyla,

Allahım! Yahya bin Rebî’a’nın büyük günahlarını bağışla/mağfiret eyle, onun ebeveynini de mağfiret eyle. Rızân ile onlardan râzı ol. Onları, himayen ile ateşten halas eyle/muhafaza eyle. Onlara mağfiret eyle. Ve bunu okuyup, âmîn diyenleri de mağfiret eyle. Şevval’in on üçüncü günü, Cuma gününde, sene yüz elli sekiz.

English Translation Of The Inscription: 

In the name of Allah/God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

O, My God/Allah forgive the big sins of Yahya bin Rabî’a and his parents. Well please with them by your approval and save them from the fire (Hell) with your protection. Forgive them and to whom reads this inscription and said Ameen. At the day thirteenth Shawwal, Friday in the year one hundred fifty eight
